Help asap - water supply to washing machine ... do i have to manually turn on / off each time i wash???

im hooking up a washer to existing water supply spickets and drainage line, but i dont know if once i open the water supply (after hooking up the fill hoses ) does it stay on even when im not washing? or is there some other hardware i need like an automatic shut off valve or something?Help asap - water supply to washing machine ... do i have to manually turn on / off each time i wash???
No it stays on all the time. unless you are going away for awhile then its smart to shut the valves off in case of a leak or a hose breaks.Help asap - water supply to washing machine ... do i have to manually turn on / off each time i wash???
You'd need to manually turn off the water supply. There is no pressure valve that can automatically suppress the water flow. Therefore, you need to keep a close eye to it.
you can leave it turn on unless you are going away for a trip. the machine has a valve that controls the flow of water for washing. when the machine is off, the valve is closed.
It stays on.
You should be able to leave it on. I do this on mine. When in doubt, consult the owners manual. When really in doubt, check with a plumber.
